Boris Skalsky and Paul Wood, both formerly of Phaser, have written a pleasant pop album that owes a tip of the hat to influences ranging from The Beatles (“Sentimental Cures”) to Radiohead (“Fall”) to David Bowie (Love Will Have It’s Day”). Well-crafted melodies abound throughout and the rich vocals are both warm and reassuring."
