The band went into Monster Island Recording Studio in New York last weekend to work on new material for the 2010 release. The studio and engineer Mike Caffrey, on 21st street in Chelsea, were a welcome change from our regular Morgan Avenue digs. A complete set of photos from the session is posted here.

Dead Heart Bloom will be playing the 2009 CMJ Music Marathon this year at venue Bruar Falls in Williamsburg on Wednesday, October 21st. The venue is located at 245 Grand Street (off the Bedford Ave L Train stop) in Brooklyn. We play at 9:30pm. Come out and support Dead Heart Bloom!

Boris Skalky of Dead Heart Bloom (and once-bassist of the now-disbanded DC band Phaser) manages to do just that. In his work's current stage, he has managed to self-release one full-length and four follow-up EPs, all available for free streaming and download on Dead Heart Bloom's website.
